Kinahan's Small Batch Bottling Note

A blended Irish whiskey here from the Kinahan's range, which was originally established all the way back in 1779! Over the years Kinahan's received two royal warrants and became the whiskey of choice for legendary American bartender Jerry Thomas. It disappeared during the 1900s, however, but it's recently been relaunched on the very same street in Dublin where it was founded all the way back then - Trinity Street.

Kinahan's Small Batch Irish Whiskey Reviews

Worth Trying

Nose - Carmel and spices
Tasted neat - initial sweetness of honey quickly moves to buttery oak with a gentle finish.

Very enjoyable whiskey!

Very good indeed

A really great whiskey, mellow and smooth with plenty of honey on the palate. Would definitely buy again!

Can highly recommend...

Absolutely delicious - a really nice combination of being light and smooth yet with loads of character with notes of honey and fruits.

Surprisingly interesting blended whiskey

Never expected anything from blended whiskeys, thought that's kind of stuff for whiskey/cola party animals. But Kinahans's stuff definitely have a right to sit on every whiskey enthusiast's shelf. I've tried it after a day of exhausting mountain hike and was surprised how mild and gentle it is! Got subtle vanilla, butter & honey. Definitely bigger than your average blended whiskey but it doesn't knocks you off with complexity which is hard to fully enjoy being exhausted. Special stuff for special time.

Extremely pleasant!

This small batch has such a delightful and smooth flavor. Definitely intense and deep, pleasant to sip on. Strongly recommended!

Average Irish Whiskey with a Cool Label

I was sold on the label and the good reviews, but even though this is unchillfiltered and higher proof than the mass produced brands it tastes just about the same as them, price and quality seems similar, an extra half-star for the label but you're about even to Jameson or Tullamore Dew with this one

Kinahan's Small Batch is DELIGHTFUL

Kinahan's Small batch blend is One of the Smoothest Whiskeys I've ever had.....This isn't a Bold Flavor Whiskey, But there are still Loads of Mellow Flavor here that makes this a Delight to Sip on!

Always up for trying something new. Wish I would have discovered this earlier. All the flavor notes are so powerful. Never been a big fan of blends but this one is a real eye opener.

So delighted to see Kinahan's LL back in the U.K. finally. The company just emailed me that it is available at Master Of Malts. First time I'd tried the good old L.L. Label was in NY last year and it was worth tracking down. Pretty complex in flavourings with a warming finish. Will be back for a new bottle for Christmas!
