A rare 36 year old from Glenflagler, this bottling is a vatting of the last six casks from the distillery, distilled in 1967.

Nose

Medium. Tangy citrus. Lemon marmalade. Pink grapefruit, verbena freshness.

Palate

Medium. Crisp barley. Toasted oak. Spice.

Finish

Peppery, spices, oak. Drying.

Interesting find

I noticed on a recent visit to Gleneagles Hotel that they have a bottle of this behind the bar. Worth trying a glass - more for nostalgia than anything else. Be warned though - It's priced at £260 for a measure (50ml). Enjoy!
