The 15th edition of Kilchoman’s 100% Islay range continues the distillery’s commitment to true farm-to-bottle whisky. Distilled from Concerto and Publican barley harvested in 2014 and 2015, this nine-year-old single malt was matured in 54 bourbon barrels before being bottled at 20ppm. Every stage, from growing the barley to bottling, takes place at the distillery, with just 13,000 bottles released worldwide.
Vanilla and tropical fruits lead, joined by fresh hay, grassy malt, and salted butter, all wrapped in gentle toasted oak.
Milk chocolate and salted caramel give way to candied citrus, lemon zest, and ripe pear, lifted by clean peat smoke and a sprinkle of white pepper.
Long and balanced with maritime peat smoke, honeyed fruit, and a sweet malty glow.
