Kilbeggan is named after St Bécán, one of the Twelve Apostles of Ireland who founded a monastery in the area in the 6th century. Smooth and malty.
The nose is smooth and gentle with nut oils, hazelnut and barley, cereal sweetness and a little peat. The palate is of good body with honeyed sweetness and malt. The finish is short with oaked dryness.

My grand children bought me a bottle for Christmas, which I opened and poured a sizable glass there and then. I thought it a little harsh at the time so I put the lid back on and continued the day with my bottle of Scotch. However, after a month or so when the Scotch had run out I took a dram of the Kilbeggan. A different feel about it altogether. Smooth and full in the mouth. Had some of the harshness evaporated into the airspace at the top of the bottle?? Who knows, but its a lovely drop now.
Impressed. Loved it. Was given a little bottle and will be getting a big one. Tons of character if enjoyed in a good glass. This is now my favourite blend.
I like Irish whiskey for its smoothness. This whiskey is harsher than some moonshines I have drank straight from the still. It's $30+ a bottle in my neck of the woods. A dodgy dram for the price.
Excellent. This is my first taste of your whiskey. I think it is grand. Diolch yn fawr, as they sat here in Wales.
за 909р неплохой в ценовой категории виски, даже лучших некоторых.
