A taste of Ireland
I first tasted this whiskey in an "Irish" pub in Montreal. I immediately got that feeling... like I was back in Ireland!
If the atmosphere of a true Irish pub could be transformed into a whiskey, this would be it. Kilbeggan tastes like the inside of an old pub in Ireland!
I'm quite surprised by the reviews saying that this whiskey is harsh or tastes "chemical". I found it quite smooth and sweet, myself.

Truly terrible
The smell can only be described as terpentine mixed with an hint of acetone. It truly stings the nostrils.
And the taste offer in no way any improvements on that worringly first impression. It has a medicinal feel to it, no notes whatsoever other then purely chemical.
Thankfully I was offered a glass of it, before I had time to buy a bottle, hence saving me from a lot of grief.

late arrival christmas prezzie - joxer
it arrived late due to my timing on the order .However; well worth waiting for and not to be dished out to others lightly . it's a superb drink a lot lighter palate than the Jameson's ,which I also love to bits light sweet taste with a profound oak finish ...delicious !. I can understand how the Irish pot still whiskeys had the monopoly on the market till a 100 years ago due wars civil and other which was to the Scots advantage...but Ireland's whiskeys are becoming popular again ...thank God !

Very smooth
I find it to be very smooth and easily drinkable. It's not harsh and goes down clean.

Decently smooth and decent flavor.
Picked this up for $20 at the liquor store and pleased for the price. It's reasonably smooth and flavorful, doesn't need mixed to enjoy it at least.
