Wine Cask
This peated single malt was distilled on the isle of Orkney in 2014 and spent a full decade maturing in a single fresh Bordeaux wine barrique. The barrel was opened by Keeble Cask Company in 2024, independently releasing a total of 187 bottles to join the Fragrant Drops collection.
Genuinely the best whisky I’ve ever tasted (and that’s saying something as a person who is a whisky nerd and have tried lots of different bottlings). It has the Highland Park lightly peated taste that I love, but at higher strength, non chill filtered, no colouring added, it ticks all the boxes. Add to that the Bordeaux cask finish to add an appropriate amount of sweetness, this is an excellent bottle of whisky.
