An absolute sherry bomb from Taiwan's Kavalan distillery, this single malt is called Triple Sherry Cask. The three sherries in question are oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, and moscatel, working in delicious harmony to bring a wealth of flavour to the bottling.
Tart berries, dates, orange chocolate, milky coffee, and caramel digestives.
Dried mango, baking spices, candied nuts, and chocolate-coated cherry.
Candied ginger, sweet balsamic, and apricot jam.
It's a proper sherry bomb this one. I've now had several different bottles from kavalan and none disappoint. One could argue it's a tad overpriced, but it doesnt matter, because it's so nice to nose and sip with just a teaspoon of spring water to open it up, that i have to take it easy to stop drinking far too much in one go haha.
