Sound the Karuizawa klaxon! This right here is a rare bottling of Japanese single malt from the closed Karuizara Distillery, drawn from a single sherry cask which was laid down in October 1981. 35 years later, the cask was cracked open in April 2017 and the whisky was bottled in the Cities of Japan series, which featured designs inspired by... Well, by the cities of Japan. This particular bottle features a Tokyo-inspired design. Only 23 bottles of this design were released.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
