From the Noh range, this is an astonishing Karuizawa which was distilled in 1982 and aged in a bourbon cask for 29 years before bottling. The result is a staggering which with all kinds of flavour.
Hints of guava and dried pineapple. Winter spices, cinnamon and notes of oak. Candied citrus fruits and a little potpourri.
Medium palate with notes of creamy vanilla, Madeira cake and Black Forest honey. Toasted oak, beeswax and just a hint of salted butter.
Apple peels and allspice.

Absolutely exception. I had the privilege to sample this Japanese whisky during a tasting, and it was the best by far. This testing included Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 23 year, a Macallan 30 yr, a Dalmore 25 yr, and a Springbank 1974. The flavor was crisp and incredibly smooth with an accent of vanilla. If you find this bottle, let me know and I will come drink it with you.
A STRONG AND RARE VERSION OF THE JAPANESY DEVILS MOUHTWATER. SHOULD HAVE A DROP OF ICECOLD WATER. WILL NOT BE OPENED BEFORE MY GOOD FRIENDS FROM JAPAN ARE COMING TO NORWAY LATER.
