In late 2022, silent Japanese distillery Karuizawa launched a collection of eight batches of single malt Japanese whisky, each aged in sherry butts and bottled at cask strength. In the case of Karuizawa 1999-2000 Cask Strength Sherry Butt 8th Batch it was bottled at 49.4% ABV.
