From the big, bold school of Japanese whisky, heavy on the sherry influence. Hint of the sulphur, though it really works here. Mixed nuts and dried dark fruits.
Big on the deep, earthy savoury notes. Pine, heather roots, truffles, mushrooms, big sherry character. Peppermint.
Slightly short, chewy and tannic.
Very distinctive and utterly fabulous. Cordite seems to hang on the nose and palate in a wonderful way.
