Nose: From the big, bold school of Japanese whisky, heavy on the sherry influence. Hint of the sulphur, though it really works here. Mixed nuts and dried dark fruits.
Palate: Big on the deep, earthy savoury notes. Pine, heather roots, truffles, mushrooms, big sherry character. Peppermint.
Finish: Slightly short, chewy and tannic.
Overall: Very distinctive and utterly fabulous. Cordite seems to hang on the nose and palate in a wonderful way.
