Journey is the entry level expression from the Isle of Jura range (which was relaunched in mid-2018). It was aged exclusively in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels and bottled at 40% ABV. A tasty introduction to Jura's single malts.
Melted butter, sugared almond, a very light hint of smoke.
Honeyed-drenched pear, toffee and pencil shavings.
Oily walnut and light apricot sweetness.

Words cannot describe how bad this nas is,no character whatsoever this has proper put the nas in nasty.
Mmm, not sure. Nose with a hint of treacle and mustiness. I'm not overly convinced. Not too acidic and fairly mild on the palette, doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. Doesn't seem to be any notes to note. I've had better Co-Op branded Whisky.
I picked this up cheap from a large supermarket, thinking that it was the standard Jura. Once home and taking it out of the box I only noticed then the word “Journey”. In short it tastes like cheap, generic whisky. I managed half a glass.
Can’t believe some of these bad reviews! What strange taste buds some people have!! In my view ( not an expert) this whisky is smooth, rewardingly fruity with a hint of smoke and is excellent value for money. Jura ignore the zero.1 and two stars. These people exhibiting poor taste!
I love this whisky. Almost like a liqueur. This will be my third bottle and would recommend for palatability with a smooth end note.
