    Jura 18 Year Old

At the peak of the Jura distillery's core range (relaunched in mid-2018) sits the Isle of Jura 18 Year Old. This expression aged in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels before enjoying a finishing period in Premier Grand Cru Classé Bordeaux barrels, imparting a rich fruitiness. Top stuff for late evening dramming.

    Disappointing

Jura produces some excellent whiskies but this is not one of them. Very little nose and a sharp taste. None to very little aftertaste.

    Jura Single Malt 18yo

This is a super bottle of Whisky which I am thoroughly enjoying. It was well priced on Black Friday, and worth every penny.

    Soft, fresh air and subtle

An inexpensive offering from the popular Jura distillery. Many would class it as a 15/16yr old on tasting, however the subtle fire that the pallette awaits is far from disappointing. Well rounded, you a hit by flavour initially which gives way to a very beautiful, smooth and lingering dram. Since first tasting it a few years ago, I wouldn't be without a bottle. A smooth and complex dram, lingers on the tounge. Beautiful. Quite a step up from other Jura bottlings.

    Good if underwhelming

An OK Dram, but as a regular drinker of the Jura 12 YO, I could not see why this deserved to cost double the 12 YO. It does not assert that it is free from colour or chill filtration, so that might account for some lack of character Other favourites are the Highland Park 18 and Royal Brackla 18. Glenlivet 18 used to be great, but I think they have now diluted it, fortunately I still have some of the original. I would still rate the Jura 18 above the dyed & filtered Glenfiddich 18

    Soft and warm

I bought a bottle about 60 euros from Stockholm. It was sale of the century. This is very good, soft and warm. Finish is long and solid. Definitely will buy again.
