An old 2000s bottle of Jura 18 Year Old single malt! The 18-year-old was released to replace the Isle of Jura 21, and was matured in oloroso sherry and American white oak casks.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

This variety of Jura's phenomenal assortment is by far my favourite. I have been tasting whiskey for the last five years. This whiskey is so smooth and has such a dessert like finish, it takes me away in a holiday state of mind. I have one last bottle still unopened, which I keep for a very special occassion. Unless Jura decides to reinvent this very nice whiskey. :-)
Very balanced, smokiness is just enough to get a taste of it without interfering, very fresh-tropical and vanilla-toffee taste as described above. Both casks have done a great job in this one, really enjoyed it! Being chill filtered however is a small minus for me... Overall 8.5/10.
