This 16 year old single malt from the Jura distillery, placed in to a pair of hogshead casks in September 1998. After maturation, it was bottled by Ian Macleod for the Chieftan's series in July 2015. 662 bottles were released.
Caramel, pineapple, and grassy hints.
Sweet vanilla and marzipan alongside tropical fruit and earthy, grassy notes.
Medium-sweet, with caramel and vanilla.
Unexpectedly smooth, with vanilla and caramel and maybe even banana on the mouth and finish. Just what I was looking for.
