Jura 10 Year Old was launched as part of a refreshed core range of whiskies from island distillery Jura in 2018, replacing Jura Origin. Aged in American white oak bourbon barrels before enjoying a finishing period in oloroso sherry butts, it has the subtle smoke and sweet fruitiness you want from a Jura single malt, with an intense kick of sherried sweetness underneath.
Honeyed barley and peaches in syrup, with light wafts of fragrant wood smoke.
Oily and subtly spicy at first, before notes of earthy vanilla pod and chocolate-covered raisins develop.
Another touch of smoke rounds things off.

A nice whisky with a little but very nice amount of smokey tone. A bit spicy and a bit sweet. This is a good introduction to a newby friend to smokey flavoured whisky

Found a bottle of the old 10 in my dad's cupboard and I prefer the newer version as the tastes are kind of more separated, whereas the old was molded into one. Both excellent though, especially for the price
Excellent dram peaches, sweetness and a dusty Barley smell on the nose with a touch of smoke. Chocolate orange, oily, peaches and some coffee on the pallet and a smooth finish. I found a bottle of the ikd 10 yo in my dad's cupboard and I prefer this one. The old one was nice, kind of like a fruit cake, but each to their own
Nothing like the old 10yo Origin. Jura has gone downhill since its rebranding. Rubbish.
