Featuring whisky from the extensive Johnnie Walker stocks, the XR 21 Year Old is even said to include whisky from the now-silent Brora distillery. Exciting stuff from Johnnie Walker!

No taste, no aroma.. very disappointing.
This is the best scotch I've tasted
Looked forward to my first taste of this 21 YO. Having owned all other releases bar the expensive Odyssey, I expected to find it close to the JW Blue Label. The aroma did nothing for me, opening up to stewed apple and standard oak after nearly five minutes. Slightly citrussy taste at first, no trace of sweetness whatever. The kinoo taste remains, tangy and zesty. Where has all that malt gone? Hint of smoke, probably because I was searching for it. Disappointing. NM
