Johnnie Walker's Blue Label is an astonishing blended Scotch whisky, created using a host of brilliant whiskies from the world-renowned producer's stocks. Nose

Fragrant with good body. Notes of oak, crisp spice, dried fruit, pastries. Berry fruits, aniseed, hints of cedar, a touch of spice and citrus.

Palate

Supple and balanced. Good toffee and hints of very wistful smoke. Chocolate, hints of grass and a good hit of malt.

Finish

Floral, oaky, good length, urged on by a plume of very well-kept, highland style smoke. Dried fruit, spice, honey.

Overall

One of the ultimate premium blends, Blue Label is a legend in its own right and will continue to be.

Perfect

The gift pack is beautiful. The glasses are thick with Johnnie Walker logo embedded into the base. Blue label is a really pleasurable blended. I like green label and this tops that. This drinks like a smokey Speyside, with a sweet honey aftertaste. It's a very easy drink so I think without discipline I'd finish the bottle in a few sittings. It's a bottle I want to savour but I really won't be able to resist.
