Johnnie Walker 18yo

Johnnie Walker 18 Year Old (or "Aged 18 Years") is a terrific blended Scotch whisky from the world-famous range, which features a combination of up to 18 different whiskies, including the likes of Cardhu, Glen Elgin, Auchroisk and Blair Athol, among others. Carefully created by master blender Jim Beveridge, this expression packs bags of creamy vanilla, vibrant fruit and runny honey, alongside soft wisps of smoke. Back in the days of yore and yonder, this was known as Johnnie Walker Platinum Label.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Honeyed cereals, Cadbury's Fruit and Nut, distant bonfire smoke, clementine and spring blossom.

Palate Peanut brittle, candied peels, plump sultana, a whisper of floral malt gives it an aromatic mid-palate, before giving way to a whisper of dry, earthy smoke.

Finish Another wave of honey, with a soft hint of cinnamon spiciness.

Reviews for Johnnie Walker 18 Year Old
Best Whisky - Great Value
Well, Johnnie Walker never fails to deliver & certainly no disappointment here!
Beautiful full smooth flavour - one to be savoured. Honestly this is one of the best whiskies I have tasted and I have paid triple this for a bottle on many occasion. Truly phenomenal value for this price.

Very average
Honey, vanilla and smoke. A very simple and light taste with a short finish. Overall very average, I don’t get all the hype around this blend.

Good blended whisky
First Johnnie Walker dram for me. Not bad for blended whisky. I got this around US$50. Guess good value for money especially since this is 18 yo whisky. This JW Ultimate 18 will be my daily drink before going to bed except for weekend. Yamazaki 12 or Hibiki MS or Hakushu 12 are still my weekend choice :)

A Fine Balanced Mojo.
Honey faint smoke not much, fruit candy nutty and decent spice and linger of dryness.

Just a nice way to end the day.
Just such a nice Whiskey for the price you pay. You can taste the wood of the barrel. Agree with someone who wrote that it is not short from Blue Label that costs two and a half times the price.

Nice Blend for Special Occasions
This is my favorite end of night drink. A bit steep priced for weekly dram, but flavors are there for me. Living in Florida, I prefer my blends cold. If you like your blends on ice Johnny Walker is dependable.

Very Meh, the same money spent on a single malt is much better
If you love JW, then crack on. You know what you're doing.
Blend-lovers, it's nothing massively special but you will always get bonus points from anyone you serve this to unless they're a single malt person.
Single malt lovers who are blend-curious - move on. Seriously. It isn't worth it. Get Glenlivet or something.

Meh. Not that good, but if its on sale if you're curious!
This whisky seems to be a popular choice for people just starting out and wanting to try the more expensive stuff as well as cheaper whiskies, but are too intimidated to strike out into the single malts and so on. It certainly has good looks just as a bottle on the shelf!
I have had some stonking whiskies for £70, this was frankly just not very nice!
Then again, I seem to be exclusively a single malts type of whisky nerd. Friends of mine who like JW and blends seem to like it, but they have agreed that it isn't worth the price. Maybe if its on sale and you are dying to try it then sure.
My advice? Skip it. Get a similar age of Glenlivet or better yet, get Balvenie Week of Peat. Or to impress your buddies, Glen Scotia Victoriana. Gentle, smokey, and so yummy.

Very smooth but price is too high
The palate of this blend is not that much revealing if you compare it to its price and age but i must say finishing is very amazing and smooth.you will get dark chocolate and toffee flavours😋
At the first you won't get its tasting notes
You have to take atleast 3-4 to reveal its flavours
