Single cask release of Indian single malt whisky from John Distilleries, made with unpeated barley and matured in bourbon barrels in Goa. Afterwards, it was bottled, with no chill-filtering or colouring, at cask strength - a sturdy 57% ABV.
Thick, juicy barley and vanilla-rich bourbon. A waft of sea-salt and brown sugar comes in from the coast.
Oily and mouth-coating with yet more gorgeous malt and molasses.
Chocolate and oak last on the finish.
Bold and brilliant, especially if like you your whisky packed with yummy barely notes.
The unexpected sea-salt and hint of caramel blew me when I first had this whiskey. I usually like peaty whiskeys, but I would never say no to this in my cupboard. I am sorry to see this is discountinued and hope it is only for the duration of the pandemic.
I'm great lover of foreign Scottish brands, my colleague in this industry once gifted a bottle of PJ Edited one to taste, I realized it is one of the finest whisky I have ever had, just on the rocks....
I tried this whisky in London and ended up buying it instantly..one of the most beautiful WHISKIES I have ever tasted...the nose is very distinguished fresh and welcoming and the minute you taste it the flavour burst in your mouth like fireworks....overall superb..
not good at all, i wouldn't spend that much on this urine. it should be placed same level as the passport scotch
