This limited edition offering from Jack Daniel's is part of its Tennessee Travelers range. Bold & Spicy is a high rye whiskey, with a mash bill of 70% rye, 12% barley and 18% corn, and bottled at a punchy 53.5%. Full of spice, it's a great sipper for rye lovers, it'll also hold its own in a mean Manhattan.

Nose
Drizzles of caramel with warm, oaky vanilla, and spicy gingerbread.
Palate
Plenty of rye spice coming through, tamed by creamy corn, sweet barley, and vanilla, layered with pepper, allspice, and stewed orchard fruits.
Finish
The rye spice lingers alongside oak char and yet more vanilla.
