Jack Daniel's - Red Dog

This special edition bottling of Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey celebrates the 125th anniversary of the Red Dog Saloon, which was opened by Mr. Daniel himself in Lynchburg – the same town in which his whiskey is distilled. Bottled at the slightly higher-than-usual ABV of 43%, this would make for a most suitable toast to the legendary drinkery.

This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Cinnamon, maple syrup, butter corn and nectarine.

Palate Clove and black pepper come through clear, with classic caramel and baked apple notes in support.

Reviews for Jack Daniel's Red Dog Saloon
Favoured over the JD White rabbit
Bought this as a gift along with Jack Daniels White Rabbit. The drinker preferred this to its more expensive brother . Still a very nice whisky

Get some Red Dog, you won’t regret it.
Great drink, I’m no expert, it is smooth but still has a little bit of bite to it. Tried a few of the JDs now. This and Gentleman Jack being the best I’ve had so far. I had some No27 Gold but prefer the previous two. Especially when taking price point into account.

Sinatra select next???

Soft spot for JD
As a long standing primarily scotch malt drinker, i've always had a soft spot for JD, trying quite a few variations over the years, but this is my first bottle of Red Dog, and have to say that it's great. It has all the flavour and nose that regular Jack has, but in a more refined way. I drink my spirits either neat or with a smidge of spring water, and recommend doing the same here, don't ruin it with a mixer, else you may as well save a few quid and buy no.7.

Amazing!
Best ever JD. I would never stray from the original but this pushed me too far.
