Jack Daniel's No. 27 Gold

Jack Daniel's No. 27 Gold Bottling Note

Created by taking Jack Daniel's standard Tennessee whiskey (also known as No. 7) and then "double barreling and double mellowing" it - meaning it enjoys an extra maturation period in maple wood before being double charcoal filtered.

Jack Daniel's No. 27 Gold Reviews

A wonderful smooth edition of Jack Daniels

It's a wonderful smooth taste, really enjoyed it.I think I will still stick to the original JD though, but if it's a special event in my life like a birthday or Christmas I will occasionally treat myself to a bottle of Gold.

Nice but not worth the price

I absolutely love Jack Daniel’s in most of its form. No 27 is still my go too bottle, I was recently gifted a bottle of Jack Daniel’s No 27 Gold by a very dear friend who was aware of my passion for JD. With great expectations I open the great box and took out the bottle, initial thoughts yes very golden in colour. Now to the sampling, in an open whisky glass I poured a shot, first impression smooth on the nose and most definitely from the house of JD. Now to the pallet, very smooth and mellow with under lying oak, very pleasant on the palette. Ok to summarise very pleasant and enjoyable but it doesn’t command it’s price point, expensive for what it is. Nice but not worth the money, when you compare spending £80 plus when you could get a very fine Japanese or Scottish single malt for the same, which would have more structure.

Hands down the BEST.

Hands down the best bourbon I have tried, so smooth and flavoursome. Anyone that has not tried this - buy it!

Smoothest whiskey ever.

Never liked JD in my life until I tried the No. 27 Gold at a tasting four years ago. Fell in love with it ever since. At the beginning, I was able to buy it only at duty free stores in airports oversea during my travels. I always buy the maximum allowable to bring back home. Now I was able to find it at our local military base Class XV Liquor. No fear of ever running out. It's the smoothest whiskey I've ever tasted. We just don't have enough of it whenever we have families and friends get together.

Need to try now!

I bought a JD Number 27 from the airport around the year 2015 and have not drink any of the two (1L and 750cl). With all of these good comments, I might have to invite my brother and consume the little one. I don't see this number 27 again at any airport.

Yellow vodka

The nicest thing about this “whiskey” is the package, otherwise .. NOTHING is good .. to pay 69.90 euro for this horrible burning after taste? i think i have been scammed by JD’s.
