The third entry of the Jack Daniel's Master Distiller series - this one honours Lemuel "Lem" Tolley, who was the third Master Distiller, following on from Jess Motlow. Lem held the position for over 20 years, from 1941 to 1964.

Quite light and smooth with plenty of sweetness. Hints of dry spice and oily nuts, a touch of smoke.
Smooth and soft with notes of banana milkshake, a mixed nut note, a touch of caramel with crème anglaise.
A little cereal sweetness and toasty oak.

I always have a bottle of Jack of some description in my whisky collection as it makes a nice change from Malt Scotch, but I can pick up a bottle of regular No. 7 on rollback at half the price of this, and just don't think Master Distillers is that much better to justify the price. That's not to say it isn't a very nice drink, but i was a tad disappointed as i expected a little more - its still a 4/5 from me based on the fact I like the taste of Jack Anyway.
This is absolutely exceptional. I wasn't sure what to expect as I picked it up on a discount isle at a supermarket. I wish I'd bought 5 bottles. It is that good. Loads of caramel, sweetness vanilla and just the right amount of nutiness. So smooth it's untrue. One of the best whiskeys I've had for a long while.
So mellow with deep flavours careful you don't over do it
Wow...Wow Wow definitely recommend
Good
