Description

An intriguing single cask from Raasay, distilled in 2018 from a batch fermented entirely with Champagne yeast. The unpeated island spirit then spent eight years maturing in a first-fill bourbon barrel before Decadent Drinks bottled it at 52% ABV. Just 200 bottles were produced.

Nose

Thick beeswax and yellow fruit with mineral notes, sea air and a lightly peppery edge.

Palate

Mead, camphor and raw cereal. Wood spice and a faint medicinal quality emerge with time.

Finish

Oily malt, minerals and lingering spice.
