Islay Mist
MacDuff International

The Islay Mist blend was first launched in the 1920s. Known for its good peating level which comes from malts like Laphroaig.
Sweet, soft fudge, and all the inherent creaminess, slightly herbal.
Soft, creamy. Barley.
Spirity, oak.

I am retired so I can no longer afford Laphriod and this is the best budget Spey whiskey blend going. Nice smoke and peat really come through. Really good!!
Quite a find, after being knocked off my feet and out of my wallet by Laphroig. Far better than other blends.
Great taste, smell from start to finnish with no chemical burn to the tongue. great value even at $31 but you say it is discontinued?
Found this on a shelf in Japan for £10, and the words “peat” and “Islay” on the box made me snap it up. On the nose was cuban cigar, toasted almond and green plant, lastly creamy caramel. The palate had definitive peat and a slight ceral grain. Finish was not long, but with lingering smoke. Will run back and get the other bottle they had tomorrow!
The best Breakfast Scotch on the market ;)
