An Islay blended malt from a whole host of mysterious distilleries. Of course we know they're on Islay, but that's about where our knowledge ends. What we do know, is that it was distilled on 14 September 2006 and, seeing as it was bottled by The Single Cask, it's little surprise that it was left to age in a single cask. It was independently bottled on 29 March 2019 at the age of 12 years old, weighing in at a pretty darn punchy 60.6% ABV! Only a very limited 197 bottles were released.
Toasty barley and sea spray, mixed with lemon peels and a touch of anise.
Smoked meats, caraway, oaky vanilla, shortbread and menthol.
A hint of ash and medicinal peat lasts.
