Invergordon 43 Year Old - Batch 5 (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
That Boutique-y Whisky Company's Invergordons have never disappointed and often 'felt' impressively aged. Guess work has been taken out of the equation now, however, as all new Boutique-y releases now carry an age statement. This little beauty (their fifth batch) is 43 years old!
The award-winning label, as ever, features a diagram of Coffey still (which the distillery used to have) with the pronunciation taken a little too literally...
Batch 5 is a release of 528 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Rich fudge and oak, orange rind and a hint of rosewater.
Palate
Toffee'd oak furniture, top notch balancing sugars and rich spices too.
Finish
Lingering oak shines proudly on a thoroughly enjoyable finish.
Overall
Exactly what you'd hope for from a grain of this age, stunning.
