Nose Werther’s Original, maple syrup and plenty of estery fruit initially, followed by sumptuous creamed corn, vanilla essence, almond butter and coconut oil. Underneath there’s milk chocolate, Madeira cake, just a hint of mixed herbs and a note reminiscent of tangerine marmalade on thick white bloomer bread. It then keeps going with touches of fresh linen, ginger biscuits, sweet tobacco and peppermint tea.
Palate Vanilla fudge, ripe pears, warm golden syrup and some praline, then coconut flakes, salted popcorn and a twist of black pepper. Orange peel, a slightly herbal note of green tea with honey and an underlying chardonnay note and slight metallic element add depth.
Finish Malted milk biscuits, some woodiness and an aromatic touch of lemongrass.
