A single cask bottling of single grain Scotch whisky distilled by Invergordon all the way back in December 1972. It was left to mature in a bourbon barrel for 43 years before A.D. Rattray bottled the whisky for their Cask Collection series in March 2016. A release of 260 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Poached pear, raspberries, a touch of mint leaf. Caramel coats all of it.
Palate
Jam-packed with vanilla and cocoa. Pepper cookies bring a sweet spice.
Finish
Slightly herbal on the finish. Still has a note of waxy red fruits to it.
