Invergordon 42yo TBWC

Marvellous single grain from the Invergordon distillery, independently bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company following a generous 42 year-long maturation. No matter how old the whisky is and how many batches of Invergordon those Boutique-y chaps bottle, they still haven't quite got the different between "Coffey" (as in the Coffey still) and "coffee" (the delicious hot beverage).

Batch 15 is a release of 665 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Mango and papaya fruitiness. Milk bottle sweeties, chocolate buttons and charred oak. A hint of Ready Salted crisps.

Palate Fried plantain, apple skins, chilli chocolate. Rich notes of old leather and clove stick around on the mid-palate.

Finish Brandy snaps, desiccated coconut and dark chocolate mousse.

Perfectly delicious
This Grain whisky is perfection in a bottle ! The vanilla, butterscotch and toffee notes just jump out of the bottle. Delicious

Fantastic
This is the most expensive bottle I've bought so far, but it's definitely one of the best - spicy butterscotch, then a delicious finish reminiscent of coconut macaroons... drool
