Here we see Batch 6 of That Boutique-y Whisky Company's independently bottled Invergordon single grain - this time they've bottled a stunning 42 year old whisky! The label shows the inner-workings of a Coffey still, which the distillery used to be home to. However, something seems a little bit off about the label... Almost like someone has taken the name of the still a bit too literally...
Batch 6 is a release of 238 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Thick with caramel and chocolate, slowly developing chocolate digestive notes. Golden Grahams, lemon cheesecake and banana bread later on.
Palate
Milk chocolate dipped in sweet, runny honey. Varnished wood, nutmeg and rye-like spices.
Finish
Big scoops of vanilla & toffee ice cream. Red apples and spiced oak last.
Overall
Once again, excellent Invergordon bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company!
