This 34-year-old Invergordon single grain, bottled at 40.1% ABV and left natural and unfussed with, sits firmly in Thompson Bros.’ mission to deliver Great Grain at Great Prices. Mature grain often tips toward the exotic, and here it drifts into rum-like territory with a light hand.

Nose

White blossom, quince, oak chips, tinned pineapple, baked apple, white chocolate and hessian fudge notes.

Palate

Crème caramel, melon and mango fruit salad with demerara sugar and vanilla sponge.

Finish

Cointreau, vanilla and soft tropical warmth.
