Oak

Jetting back to the '80s with this Highland single malt whisky distilled at Invergordon in 1988. It spent an impressive 34 years maturing in a single virgin oak barrel before it was opened up by indie bottlers Alistair Walker for its Infrequent Flyers collection. An outturn of only 255 bottles, naturally coloured and non-chill filtered.
Honeycomb, toasted marzipan, oaky vanilla, and creamy oatcakes.
Madeira sponge, with layers of soft caramel, gorse flowers, and warm oaky spice.
Gentle spice, with crumbly fudge.
