Jetting back to the '80s with this Highland single malt whisky distilled at Invergordon in 1988. It spent an impressive 34 years maturing in a single virgin oak barrel before it was opened up by indie bottlers Alistair Walker for its Infrequent Flyers collection. An outturn of only 255 bottles, naturally coloured and non-chill filtered.
Nose Honeycomb, toasted marzipan, oaky vanilla, and creamy oatcakes.
Palate Madeira sponge, with layers of soft caramel, gorse flowers, and warm oaky spice.
Finish Gentle spice, with crumbly fudge.
