Invergordon 30 Year Old 1987 (cask 12052) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
The Old Particular range from Douglas Laing is known for bottling some beauties, and this is no exception. Distilled in August 1987 at Invergordon, this single grain Scotch whisky matured for 30 years before it was charged from a refill butt in September 2017, with natural colour, no chill-filtration and a hefty 55% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Dark chocolate with a caramel centre, spiced figs, honey roasted peanuts and mango and papaya tropical-fruit-sweetness.
Palate
Through old leather and polished oak comes barley sweets, juicy red berries, quince, toffee apples and brandy snaps.
Finish
Long, creamy pecan pralines, golden syrup and tangy oak notes.
