Description
Stunning single grain whisky from Invergordon, distilled in 2009 and matured for a dozen years, including a five month finishing period in a small octave cask. In 2021, the cask was opened by the team at Duncan Taylor, releasing a total of 86 bottles for The Octave series.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Apple peels and waxed lemons, set honey, and peppery oak.
Palate
Buttery pastry, cinnamon brings heat alongside nutty malt and roasted almonds, with brown sugar sweetness softening the spice.
Finish
Lingering pepper, baking spices, and soft caramel.
