An 11 year old single grain Scotch whisky from the Invergordon Distillery here, which has been independently bottled up for the Darkness range after enjoying a finishing period in a specially-coopered Pedro Ximénez sherry octave cask! This little cask allows for greater surface area to volume ratio between the wood and the whisky, and imparts a hefty helping of of sherried brilliance to the spirit.
Rich notes of vanilla and honey, with soft, earthy hints along the way.
Dense fruitcake, warming cinnamon, almonds and more honey.
Festive spices stick around on the finish.
