Greenhouse Preserves 1988 (bottled 2018) - Wemyss Malts (Invergordon)
An independently bottled Invergordon single grain Scotch whisky, distilled back in 1988 and matured in a refill butt cask until 2018. It was bottled by Wemyss Malts, and as ever, they've given it a name that hints towards the whisky's flavour profile - Greenhouse Preserves! This is a release of 630 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Apple, fudge, a hint of hay and buttered corn.
Palate
Lemon peel freshness as it opens, shortly followed by roasted nuts, cedar and apricot.
Finish
Earthy oak, blueberry and white chocolate.
