An indie Invergordon single grain here from Wemyss Malts, aged in a single butt cask from 1988 to 2016. Following its maturation, this was bottled at 46% ABV and given the name Frosted Molasses Tart. A release of 681 bottles.
Nose Brown sugar and freshly sliced Granny Smith apples. A light hint of buttered toast.
Palate Chocolatey at first, but notes of fresh fruit soon win out. Some flaky pastry.
Finish Drying cinnamon and clove warmth, with sweet vanilla are the core.
