Inchgower 2006 (cask 17040) - Malts of Scotland
A Malts of Scotland bottling of Inchgower single malt - you don't see a lot of this, as a large percentage of their whisky is earmarked for use in blends. The whisky from this cask escaped that fate, however! This was aged from 2006 to 2017 in a refill sherry hogshead, then bottled with an outturn of 250 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
A mixture of summer berries and savoury baking aromas. A touch of ground clove.
Palate
Slightly earthy malt comes through first, before layers of waxy fruit and hot chocolate sweetness develop.
Finish
Subtle honey and raisin influence on the finish.
