Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Fruitcake with thick icing, hints of chopped ginger and almonds.

Palate: Chocolate-y at first, with more dense fruitcake notes.

Finish: Spicy cinnamon and cardamom. A lasting hint of citrus oil.

Usual great quality from G&M

Glad to see many of G&M offerings are 46% unchillfiltered. It makes such a difference to the taste and mouth-feel. The previous inchgower I had was the Flora and fauna version, which I loved for the dry, spicy saltiness of the finish. This bottling has more of a sherry style Speyside (speaking broadly) with not so much coastal influence but a very characterful whisky indeed.
