Inchgower
The Flora and Fauna series is a sadly discontinued range of whiskies, each with an illustration of an animal on the bottle. This Inchgower is very rare.
Floral definitely. Faunal not so much. Beautifully sweet, but not cloying. Honey-gold in colour and rich floral honey flavours. Incredibly rounded with a great aftertaste.
I love this whisky. Sometimes referred to as a Speyside malt, those expecting the usual Speyside flavours will be surprised, but pleasantly so, I think. The nose is sweet with some spiciness and the taste starts the same way but the comes the dry saltiness of a coastal malt which reverberates for a long time.
My favorite among the whiskies I have tasted!
