A lesser-spotted Imperial single malt! This wonderful Speysider was distilled at Imperial back in 1995, just a few years before the distillery was mothballed in 1998. It was whacked into a single American oak cask, where it rested for just under a quarter of a century. After 24 years had passed, the whisky was bottled up by Single & Single at cask strength, a healthy 49.2% ABV.
Ginger cake and oat and raisin cookies, supported by cooked apple.
Oily walnut and anise, with chocolate-coated peanuts and green oak.
Waxy peels and a hint of honey.
