Single malt from the dearly departed (and demolished) Imperial distillery, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail. This particular expression was distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2017 as part of the Distillery Labels range with a decidedly retro label.
Sherried malt arrives first on the nose, with underlying tartness of fresh strawberry and tropical fruits.
Pineapple again, now paired with zesty orange and golden syrup.
Lightly savoury on the finish with old oak and oats.
