The Cigar Malt 14 Year Old 2006 (cask 6175) - Chieftain's (Ian Macleod)
14 year old single malt Scotch whisky from an undisclosed distillery in the world-famous Speyside region, independently bottled by Ian Macleod. Dubbed The Cigar Malt, this whisky aged in a first-fill sherry butt from May 2006 to November 2020, and was then bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 651 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Espresso beans, subtle salinity, a whiff of melted butter and cocoa.
Palate
Raisins, prunes, dried cherries and a drizzle of honey. Cigar box and another helping of espresso.
Finish
Softly sweet on the finish with orchard fruit.
