Hyde No.9 Iberian Cask
The ninth release in the Hyde series of excellent Irish whiskeys has been dubbed Iberian Cask, as this Irish single malt has been finished in casks that previously held Port. As a result, you'll be treated to tasty helpings of red fruit flavours alongside warming caramel, nectarine, and malt in every sip. A spectacular postprandial whiskey.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Blackcurrant, dried raspberry, shortbread, and cut grass.
Palate
Cooked apricot, more raspberry and a touch of honeydew melon, wrapped up in oodles of vanilla.
Finish
Some sweet spices appear on the finish.
