Hyde No.8 Heritage Cask
An exciting addition to the range of Irish whiskey from Hyde! Single grain matured in a first-fill bourbon cask is combined with single malt which has been matured in Oloroso sherry casks for this No.8 edition. The two batches are then married in a stout cask for a six month finishing period. A gloriously Irish sipper with plenty of malty, coffee character!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Vanilla and creamy malt with wafts of freshly roasted coffee beans.
Palate
Biscuity with sweet spice, raisins, and hoppy cold brew coffee.
Finish
Butterscotch with lingering toasted oak, soaked fruits, warm baking spice and dark, malted chocolate.
