The No.6 bottling in Hyde's range is made with a blend of Irish single malt and Irish single grain whiskey, which has been married together and allowed a finishing period in sherry casks before being bottled at 46% ABV. Punchy fruit sweetness with plenty of vanilla to back it up.

Look at the tasting notes, I must agree with everything except clove, at some time during a glass with ice you will get the flavours, its the most complicated and intriguing whiskeys I've tasted in my 70yrs
Tastes brilliant starts with fresh orange flavours and finishes with caramel if you want different try this.
Despite being the pick of the three Hyde samples i have tasted this week, this lacks any balance or elegance and everything feels a bit overcooked, burnt and bitter. Not quite "crazy and awful" but not entirely enjoyable either. Get yourself a Redbreast 12 yo instead for a much higher standard of Irish Whiskey at this price.
Plenty of spices in the aroma, with some ripe fruit, and sweetness reminiscent of honey and caramel. Also definitely vanilla. Taste is smooth. Little grainy, lots of sweet, ripe fruits and some charred wood. The finish is spicy and oaky, but is gone fairly quickly, unfortunately. That's my only complaint, however. Very enjoyable whiskey, perfect near a burning hearth.
Nose: only disinfectant, in the bachground hints of apple and berries Palate: orange concentrate (you know "MiWadi"?), artificial sweetness, little bit of wood and oily Finish: orange concentrate again but much stronger, little bit of oak and then it's over All in All: I've never tried a whisky which is that bad. The combination of disinfectant with artificial instant-orange-juice is so awful P. S. After about 10 minutes the empty tumbler smells like fireworks
